Spivey Homes Custom Home Builder

Spivey Homes and Spivey Construction drew a huge crowd at the July 3rd YMCA Summer Celebration in Mooresville with their one-of-a-kind raffle benefiting Dove House. Spectators gathered by their exhibit area all afternoon and evening to check out the great prizes being raffled. The grand prize, a Gorilla™ Pioneer Peak play set, was set up on the grounds so everyone could see just how expansive it was. The lucky winner of the play set was the Combs family of Mooresville. They expressed their appreciation, and said their two children couldn’t wait to have it set up in their backyard.

Other great prizes included three battery-powered ride-on toys, a T-swing set by Playground Packages, an autographed Kurt Busch die-cast car and hat, and an autographed football by Carolina Panthers punter Jason Baker. All proceeds from the raffle went directly to Dove House, a Children’s Advocacy Center located in Statesville.

Volunteers from Dove House were on hand to sell raffle tickets and share information with event goers about their cause. Jack Grossman, Fundraising Chairman and Building Co-Chairman of Dove House, was thankful they could be a part of the event and considered the raffle a huge success.

“This event gave us the opportunity to get the message out about our organization and services, and if we were able to reach just one family or even one child, we’ve made a difference,” Grossman commented.
